One Last Chance to Submit Your Horror Film

The Glowflare Horror Film Festival is issuing a final call to all horror filmmakers, this is your last chance to submit your film for consideration in our 2025 edition. The final deadline for submissions is 18th April 2025 at 23:59 BST, after which entries will close for the 2025 season. Submissions will reopen later this year for the 2026 festival.

Selected films will be announced on 21st April 2025, and the festival will take place over two terrifying days, 17–18 May 2025, at Parkway Cinema Beverley, East Yorkshire. Expect a packed programme of horror screenings, live filmmaker Q&As, networking opportunities, and a Sunday evening awards ceremony recognising the best in independent horror cinema.

Submit Your Film

We welcome short and feature-length horror films across all subgenres, including supernatural, folk, psychological, gore/extreme, creature features, slasher, zombie, sci-fi horror, and more.

Glowflare Horror Film Festival is an international independent film festival based in Hull, Yorkshire, showcasing emerging talent alongside bold new work from filmmakers worldwide. Established in 2024 by Glowflare, the festival champions accessible horror-form storytelling across a wide range of genres and forms. Presented as an in-person event, Glowflare features live filmmaker Q&As, networking opportunities, and an awards night celebrating outstanding horror films. Submissions are open internationally, with a continued commitment to supporting local filmmakers across Yorkshire while welcoming voices from around the world.
