Earlybird Deadline
The first submission period closes. Entries submitted before this deadline receive the Earlybird fee, after which the Regular fee becomes available.
Regular Deadline
The Regular submission period closes. Filmmakers may continue to submit during the Late period, subject to the fees and requirements published for the edition.
Late Deadline
The Late submission period closes. This is followed by the Final deadline, giving filmmakers one further opportunity to enter eligible work.
Final Deadline
The main submission window closes. Any additional or extended deadline will only be used where it is published as part of the official festival edition.
Selection notifications
Filmmakers are contacted during the published notification period. Successful entrants receive information about their selection, screening requirements and the next stages of the festival process.
Official selections announced
Once filmmaker notifications are complete, the official selections are revealed publicly across the festival website and communication channels.
Tickets released
Festival tickets become available to the public. Ticket information explains what is included, any booking conditions and how audiences can attend the festival.
Programme and schedule announced
The full programme is published, including selected films, screening order, approximate running information and practical guidance for festival visitors.
Award nominations
The nominations process opens and closes before the nominees are announced publicly. Nomination information identifies the films and filmmakers being considered across the festival's award categories.

Confirmed nominees are revealed publicly, identifying the films and filmmakers being considered across the festival award categories.
Award voting
Eligible voters consider the nominated work as part of the official programme and submit their votes within the published award-voting window.
Audience voting
Audiences vote in the relevant categories after experiencing eligible films during the festival programme and within the published audience-voting window.
Festival weekend
The Glowflare Horror Film Festival takes place across the published festival dates. Screenings, filmmaker engagement, audience activity and the edition's live festival experience happen across the event.
Award winners announced
Once award voting has closed and the results have been verified, the festival award winners and any special recognitions are announced through Glowflare's official channels.
Audience results announced
Audience-voted results are checked and confirmed before being published through the festival website and communication channels.

Award voting
Eligible voters consider the nominated work and submit votes during 7–14 August 2026.
Audience voting
Audiences vote in the relevant categories during 5–6 September 2026.
Results and recognition
Award winners are scheduled for Date to be confirmed, with audience results scheduled for 6 September 2026.
