Yes. The Festival may revoke recognition where false or misleading information is discovered, policies are breached, serious misconduct occurs, or a legal or reputational risk arises. Such decisions are final. Misleading use of laurels or claims of recognition not actually received may also lead to corrective action.
You may use an official laurel only after the Festival has formally granted the corresponding recognition to that film. The laurel must relate solely to the recognised work and must not imply any additional award, endorsement or partnership. Laurels must not be altered, redesigned or recoloured. They may be resized only in proportion.

Journalists, recognised media outlets, photographers, videographers, bloggers, influencers and other content creators may be considered where their proposed activity is relevant and professional. Proof of status or previous work may be requested. All approved applicants must follow the Press, Media & Photography Policy, venue rules, embargoes, privacy requirements and staff instructions.
Submit the request through the Festival’s press contact with the subject, outlet, intended format, proposed questions or themes, preferred timing and publication date. The Festival may help coordinate availability but cannot guarantee that a particular filmmaker or representative will participate. Judges and reviewers are appointed according to experience, expertise and suitability. They may include filmmakers, industry professionals, academics, critics or other specialists. Personnel may change between editions, categories and rounds. The Festival may remove or replace a judge where necessary and does not guarantee that a previous judge will participate again.
A reviewer must declare any personal, professional, creative or financial connection that could affect impartiality. They must withdraw from evaluating the affected film, and the submission may be reassigned. Judges must act independently, avoid outside influence and must not seek personal benefit from their role. Attempts to influence the judging process may result in disqualification.
Drones and specialist filming equipment require prior written approval. Use must comply with UK aviation, privacy and safety law and must not disrupt Festival operations, audiences or venue access. Unauthorised drone use is prohibited and may lead to removal or referral to the relevant authorities.
Accreditation may be revoked for harassment, intimidation, privacy or intellectual-property violations, misrepresentation, breach of filming rules, ignoring instructions or failure to respect an embargo. Serious cases may result in removal from events, future bans, correction or removal requests, or legal action.
Report the matter promptly to Festival management or on-site staff, identifying the person or outlet involved, what occurred, the date and location, and any evidence available. The concern will be assessed fairly and handled confidentially where reasonably possible under the Festival’s complaints process.
